Your admission was scheduled by your physician
in preparation of your stay at Oak Valley Hospital. A
representative from the admissions department will contact you
prior to your admission to obtain information needed to complete
your patient file. If you are scheduled for surgery, an appointment
will be made for your pre-surgery tests, and a nurse will interview
you about your health history.
It is important to bring your insurance cards
to the hospital. An admission staff member will make copies of the
cards for billing purposes.
In an effort to keep you informed of the cost
of your hospitalization, we will verify your insurance, compute and
estimate the "balance due", and make financial arrangements at that
time. You may need to make a deposit at the time of your
admission.
If your are covered by Medicare, bring your
Medicare card with you to the hospital. If Medicare determines that
part or all of your stay is not covered, you will receive a bill
from the hospital for the non-covered portion. The hospital accepts
Visa and MasterCard to help you meet your responsibility.
