Auxiliary volunteers make valuable contributions to the hospital and the community.

The hospital Gift Shop is operated solely by Auxiliary volunteers and is their biggest fundraiser. The money raised through sales is donated to the hospital for equipment and patient care items. Donations helped to purchase and install a beautiful rose garden at the Care Center and purchased much needed high tech equipment, including a birthing bed for the Family Centered Maternity Care Center.

There are many jobs for Auxiliary volunteers. You can set your own schedule and choose a job that best matches your skills and talents:

We are always on the lookout for young adults who are willing to dedicate several hours each month volunteering at our facilities. Opportunities to work at the Information Desk in the Main Lobby, Emergency Room, Laboratory, Patient Care, Maternity or Radiology may be available.

Junior Volunteers may be asked to stock supplies, deliver reports, answer phones, file, make admitting packets, fill water pitchers or make copies. Various shifts are available and adjustments can be made to accommodate sports and school activities.

The Gift Shop is run by volunteers of the Oak Valley Hospital Auxiliary and is located adjacent to the hospital's main lobby and entrance.  Revenue generated from sales is used for scholarships and the purchase of equipment for Oak Valley Hospital and Oak Valley Care Center.

Volunteers are prepared to take phone orders charged to VISA or MasterCard for delivery to a patient in the hospital.  A wide variety of items are stocked in the Gift Shop.  Fresh floral arrangements, baby items, gift items, snacks, cards, etc. are available.  Hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 to 4 p.m.
