Faith in Action, a National Program of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is a nonprofit organization designed to help the aging maintain their independence by providing them with assistance in doing simple chores and activities.  Faith in Action fosters caring relationships between volunteers of all faiths and their neighbors with long term health needs to enhance independence and quality of life.  Faith in Action volunteers are from church congregations, service groups, clubs and the caring community.  These volunteers provide in-home services such as respite care, friendly visits, telephone reassurance, and caregiver support.  Services are provided at no cost.
